Answer (1 of 2): No, the owner does not get any notification if you download stuff from a folder which was shared with you. It is assumed that he/she shared the folder because they wanted you to have the access. Solution 2: Get Permission to Open a File. 1. First of all, try to open the Google Drive file. 2. Then, a Request access page will open automatically. 3. In this step, click on the Send icon. 4. Now, the owner of the file will get an email with your request. Sometimes, Google Drive won't load, or you can't even access Google Drive. Focus on this page with Google Drive troubleshooting. Try uninstalling the tools on your device, such as ES File Explorer, Loader Droid, Download Blazer, Super Download Lite, Advanced Download Manage, etc. Fix Restart/Reinstall Google Drive the Phone.

Click "Start" to download files from Google Drive to your computer. Depending on how many files you have chosen to sync, the download may take some time. However, when the download is complete, you will be able to access your Google Drive files on your computer. The issue is not with Google per se, but with Microsoft Edge blocking relevant cookies. Generally, this shouldn’t happen. However, if you or some other extension changed the cookie settings, you may be blocking essential cookies. If Google Drive cannot place cookies, you will not be able to download files. After you make sure that the “Google Drive won’t let me download” problem is not with Google Drive itself or your browser, it could also be with your Mac, starting with the network connection. If your WiFi connection is poor or unstable, or simply off, Google Drive might throw all kinds of errors related to file downloading.
